So here are some of the attempts at this year's shoot. I all ready had a family photo we were using but wanted one of each girl on their own to add. Madison was in a very cooperative mood, but the smiles and poses were so cheesey I couldn't even handle it. Nora was pouting because she just wanted to swing. And she can NEVER look straight at the camera, what is with that?
Want to see the winning photos? Well, you will need to be on my Christmas Card list for that one!! I would hate to give it away now.

My cousin in law did the cutest blog post about her attempt last year...she has three lovelies to try and capture....I would love to get on your list :)I'll message you my address if you will do the same. I LOVE photo cards :) One of favorite things about Christmas. I say: capture the silly pics and blackmail the kids in the future :)
great shots of the girls!
can't wait to show them to my photo class!
That is SO funny that you photo shopped a smile! I bribe the kids also. We do what we have to do. LOL
I just stumbled across your blog and was skimming posts and had to share this idea... just for the future...
I'm a preschool teacher and I like to post pictures of each child but find that I had a very hard time getting natural smiles from them. I found the answer.
Have them stand in a bucket of warm soapy water (they took off socks, rolled up pants, the water wasn't very deep at all). They think it is the funniest thing ever and you can get a great natural smile and if you take the picture of just their faces or from waist up no one will ever know!
